Site Security and VPNs

Earlier this year we took steps to increase our site security in the wake of a DDoS attack. One of our precautions included blocking certain IP addresses in use by popular VPNs. We do support people using VPNs; we use them ourselves for all the typical reasons. If your particular IP got blocked, we were probably getting malicious traffic from that specific location. 

Accordingly, we suspect that some site users may find their access blocked on the basis of their IP. You might want to try a different location within your VPN, to find an IP that has a more benign reputation that will then allow you to access our site.
