Hi, it's kinda annoying to have to click Read More to simply load the rest of the page of an article I'm reading, particularly if it's on a smart phone. What is the benefit from your end, that you need to have it on there? If there is no benefit, how about doing away with it, or at least give users an option to remove it. Thanks!

Hi, Chris, and thanks for asking. Actually, it makes the site work faster for everyone when each story doesn't have to load in full, particularly for lengthy stories with large numbers of illustrations, graphs, etc.

Thanks for your support of the mission of the site.

Hi, thanks for getting back. However, I have to disagree. Most often, there's only a couple of paragraphs' more text, the ads at the bottom are presented anyway, AND there's page after page of comments that load, all while the actual story itself requires intervention to "read more"!

Please look at one of the articles yourself, and you'll see. Here are some measurements, while your size may vary, the ratios won't:
    - The headline and top picture take 9"
    - The article before "READ MORE" is only 7.5"!!
    - The ads below the "READ MORE" are 4"
    - The comments section takes ***** 300 INCHES *****!
