If you are not familiar with html, one thing you could do is:

Click to comment anywhere, in an open thread or any diary. When the comment box comes up, click the "link" button under the comment box. In the box that says URL, copy and paste the address of the link you want. (Delete the "http//" that is in the box and copy the entire url with http from your web browser address bar.)

Then in the box called "label" copy and paste, or type, your sig line. or a few words from your sig line. Click "Add." (You might experiment. If you use just a word or two you will need to cut and paste them into the appropriate spot in the sig line.)

Then click "Preview." You will see the markup in the box. You can copy and paste that into the sig line box on your profile page.

Click to cancel the post. Do not post it. :) You are just using the comment box as a tool.

Let me know if this made sense.

Or, put the url as follows with the a href and quotations marks and < and >. After the >, put the text you want to be the link and close that text with the a in brackets as shown.
<a href="http://www.dailykos.com/">WE NEVER FORGET Our Labor Martyrs: A project to honor the men, women, and children who lost their lives in freedom's cause. </a>

You can close the linked text after a word or more with the a in brackets with forward slash. See where the a in brackets is in the following example.

<a href="http://www.dailykos.com/">WE NEVER FORGET</a> Our Labor Martyrs: A project to honor the men, women, and children who lost their lives in freedom's cause.

The above samples would look like this when posted:

WE NEVER FORGET Our Labor Martyrs: A project to honor the men, women, and children who lost their lives in freedom's cause.

WE NEVER FORGET Our Labor Martyrs: A project to honor the men, women, and children who lost their lives in freedom's cause.
