Can I delete my own comments, if needed?

I'm used to being able to edit my comments/forum posts everywhere else. I'm also usually pretty meticulous about my writing, but sometimes I make errors that I want to correct. I realize there's a preview function, but things can still escape me on occasion.

Is there a way to touch-up comments after the fact? (not diaries, but the comments we leave on other people's diaries).

Given how comments become interconnected, I can understand why editing might not be an option.

    Hi, Roland

You are correct that comments cannot be edited once submitted.

The time to edit a comment is when you first create it. You can then either cancel it or hit Preview, which gives you the option of returning to edit or clicking Submit Your Comment. But once it's submitted it's part of the permanent record.

People do sometimes reply to their own comment to correct errors, though.
