Is there a way to "recommend all" comments in a diary?

On rare occasions it would be nice just to be able to recommend all the comments in a diary. (Mojo Friday comes to mind as one example.) Is there a way to do this? From time to time, a "rate all" balloon or something pops up when I'm looking at a comment. "Rate" could mean "hide rate" so I have not clicked it. Nor am I aware what makes the balloon appear - have not experimented to see if I could make it happen intentionally.

Anyway, "recommend all comments" and related searchs term in this help section returned some bizarrely unrelated things, so I am creating my own question about it. Thanks!

No, and to be honest, it's not a behavior we would encourage. We would prefer you read and judge a comment before recommending it.

That "rate all" button you see is the non-javascript way to rate comments, and it allows you to rate all the comments you wanted to rate and then submit them in a batch. Sometimes, if your javascript loads slowly, you'll see that version briefly.

Fair enough. My interest in such a function is for the playful diaries like
Mojo Friday, and for diaries where there are only a few comments, and I
think the diary is really terrific and want to congratulate people who took
the time to encourage the diarist. OTOH if there are only 30 comments or
so, it's not so hard to do them one by one.

Thanks for the reply - now I can at least stop trying to figure it out!
    Cheers,
    bb
