I couldn't see anything in the tutorials except for a couple of old entries. How can I republish a diary from a couple of years ago? I know it's possible because I've seen them, but don't see any obvious ways of doing it.

    Hello, and thanks for asking.

Probably the reason you don't see explicit instructions about how to do it is because we tend to discourage republishing. On occasion exceptions are made, it's true. But when a post is published, then unpublished then REpublished at a later time, that confounds the system. There's no new Tip Jar, and then all the old comments are not open for rating or replies.

Often people get around the drawbacks by creating a new post with the CONTENT of the old post along with a note about the previous publication title/date, as well as an explanation for why you're republishing it now. In cases like this, transparency is important and will go a long way toward encouraging a positive response.
