The orange box around a comment

I read Daily Kos on my iphone in View Full Site mode at lunchtime mostly... today I was reading and scrolling and suddenly one comment became surrounded by an orange box. What does that mean? Did I accidentally flag that comment? I have never flagged anything (intentionally), and I don't know what it looks like when one does.
Thanks,
Hellstrom

    Hello, and thanks for asking.

No, you didn't flag it. When you flag a comment, you'll always first get a message to confirm that's the step you want to take. It's not so easy to flag by accident.

What you did was "select" the comment, which happens when you click on the comment's time stamp. That is actually quite easy to do as you're scrolling along.

The important thing to know about "selecting" a comment is that the comment's URL is indicated in the browser's address bar. That's a useful piece of information to have if you want to refer to that comment later, or to share the link to the specific comment with someone else, since it's a unique identifier for it.

Feel free to ask other user interface questions here as they arise.
