I clicked on a link in Indivisible Team's post We have the secret Trump bill I clicked on the link to OurAmendments.org and got a black screen, my computer froze for a moment, then Firefox went down and a command window opened and ran a bunch of script. What the hell was that?

I'm running scans now. I'm about to warn people to be careful clicking on that link. What would run the command screen like that?

    Hello, Noodles --

Thanks for asking. I certainly appreciate your concern about anything anomalous.

But there does not appear to be anything amiss with that link when I try it on Safari or Firefox (on Mac and PC). Are you sure you don't have anything going on with your Firefox setup? The OurAmendments.org is an https site, which gives it more security than http sites to begin with.

Sorry that you're encountering a problem and that we're not of any help here.

OK. I'll check to see if I can find anything else I may have going on doing that. Mostly I want to make sure the site is vetted. I'm sure there are attempts to hack here. If no one else see's it I'll assume it was me. Thanks.

I can leave this ticket open just in case.

As of early this week, our own site is https everywhere, and within a matter of minutes the Help Desk will be too! So that's some measure of additional security, at any rate.

It's a big concern, no doubt about it.
