Is there an IE 7 compatibility problem?

The site looks great when I access it from home on Firefox. Unfortunately I mainly access the site from work where I'm stuck with IE7:

Community spotlight appears underneath all of the front page items. I have a feeling that isn't supposed to happen but when I attempted to read kos's post from yesterday explaining the new layout, my browser crashed when I tried scrolling down to the main text. It did so repeatedly (so it's not just a fluke). Close browser, open browser, go to dKos, try reading kos's post, get "not responding" message. Tried again, same problem. Tried again, same problem. I don't want to think I'll be virtually shut out from here until my employer gets around to upgrading our browser.

It looks like we had an error deploying, because we did have this fixed in test. The update will be live shortly.

IE 7 doesn't work as well as other browsers, but we are trying to keep it at least usable there for now.

Thanks for the response. I keep hearing we're going to upgrade...whether to IE8 or IE9 I don't know, and when is still up for grabs as well...hopefully it'll happen before I retire. I definitely hear you; I know the initial roll-out of DK4 was complicated by having to support older browsers but I suspect many of us are stuck with what our employers give us, at least while we're at our workplaces, so whatever you can do I know is going to be appreciated.
