but are fine in Safari. Began yesterday and I'm surprised no one else has brought this up. Every single tweet embedded in a story or comment displays as text in grey box without images/videos and the usual formatting. If I open the same pages in Safari they are normal. MacBook Pro Mojave 10.14.6 Chrome Version 78.0.3904.97 or Safari 13.0.3

    Hmm. Puzzling.

I opened a Mojave/Chrome virtual machine to check things out and don't see a problem with tweets displaying.

Same issue on an incognito window?

hmm - okay in incognito. Yesterday I cleared cache but not cookies (because
it signs me out everywhere) and reloaded Chrome to check. So is it cookies?
Thanks for the speedy answer although I'm not sure what to do next.

It being OK in incognito points to some sort of extension causing a problem--a code conflict somewhere. Could arise on Twitter's part, for that matter, and we just happen to be downstream from multiple sources.

The only new extension I have is Bitdefender Anti-tracker but I wasn't
aware it had loaded when I first saw the problem yesterday morning. I just
received a notice about it late last night but must have been installed
earlier in the day as that seems to be the problem. I opened DK and paused
Bitdefender and the tweets display normally. Sorry to waste your time --
but glad to have the tweets restored. thanks

No worries at all. Nice to have an easy solution at least every so often. ;)
