My BlogRoll seems to have disappeared.

The decision to trash it is, of course, yours. That said, I could have used a day or two warning, so that I could have transferred some of the data to another area or program. At least when you quit allowing us to put diaries on the Hot List, you kept the list.

My question is whether the data has been saved, and whether I can get a copy of it, assuming you do not intend to revive the BlogRoll.

I note that the link is still there, under Following, but the message I get when I click on it is:

Template compilation failed. Error message was:

Compiling _www_dk4_perl_current_views_user_blogroll_html_plerb failed!
Global symbol "$user" requires explicit package name at (eval 5824) line 3.
Global symbol "$user" requires explicit package name at (eval 5824) line 4.

 at /www/dk4-perl/current/lib/ScoopDK/ line 171

If you don't mind, we'd appreciate you submitting this error message to the helpdesk.

And now I have done so.

My BlogRoll is also gone. I hope that this is just a temporary glitch.

Otherwise, I would have appreciated a warning that y'all planned to take away yet another tool that I relied on at this site.

    Hi hi.
Yes, it was temporary in one sense but permanent in another.
It is still possible to access your blogroll from your Profile page > Following > Blogroll. That path has been fully restored, and everything should still be in place as it was.
But the blogroll is not part of the profile page sidebar any more. Bots were getting tangled up with them sometimes.
    Thanks much for the alert!
