17Jul2019: Irritating issue with new password-change requirement

I successfully changed my password using my PC. When I then went to log in anew on my Android phone using the new password, upon entering my user name and new password, all I got was a banner directing me back to this story. When I then tried clicking on the “this story” link on the banner, the screen briefly displays the story — for like a nanosecond — and then goes back to graying out the story and displaying the “go to this story" banner. I can’t get rid of the banner, and consequently, I now cannot read DK on my phone. MOST vexing! HELP!

(PS: For the Spam protection, "What number comes after 20?" is not a great question. I'll answer "21," but were I to answer "75," 107, or "3,098," those would also be accurate answers which would be, no doubt, rejected. Yes, I'm cranky at the moment!)

I usually stay logged into Kos, but went to change my old password. For some reason it won't accept the same password that's always worked, so that I can change it to update it, as the article suggested.

I never gave a separate password for Daily Kos. I get the information in my emails does that then need to be changed? Why?
