Its saying 1 of 3 things 1) server issues 2) check internet 3) bad gateway.

It also created a weird blank tip jar on my comments page that links back to the unpublished draft. Really weird error

    Hello, and thanks for asking.

We do know that users are coming across this "400" error pretty often. Without evidence to the contrary, we have been assuming that the cause is the omission of tags. (It can be pretty easy to forget them.) Formerly, we had more informative error messages when at least one tag wasn't present, but that's no longer the case.

If you see this happen again when you are sure you have provided tags, then that would be an indication we need to keep looking. In that case, we'd be grateful to have some counter to that working hypothesis, if you can generate some. What you would do is take two screenshots: one of your draft post showing the tag(s) in place, and then another screenshot of the display showing the error message if the post fails to publish.
We'd also like to know the operating system and browser you are using.

This is, in fact, an open invitation to anyone reading this ticket. (It's perfectly fine for someone to create a private ticket with the screenshots to document your process, of course, if you'd prefer,) Until we have confirmation that there's something else going on, however, we are inferring that the absence of a well-formed tag is what is causing this problem.

Thanks for your support of the mission of the site and for your help with troubleshooting.
