Hello, and thanks for your question.

Are you asking for someone to create a petition in-house, that is? If that's correct, then I have bad news and good news.

The bad news is that petition topics are almost entirely generated by the news cycle, so unless there's an imminent threat of a pre-emptive nuke attack such a petition is not likely to be created.

The good news is that you yourself, or anyone else who is promoting such an activity,
can create an account on the site and post a story explaining why this is an important call.

In fact, most of the content posted on the site is written by Community members, not by Daily Kos Staff. You can see that by checking out the caption under each author's byline for stories -- Community in blue -- or the color of the profile hover, also blue, that is associated with the author's name on comments.

It's pretty easy to get a user account here if you don't already have one. Click on the Sign up button at the top of any page and follow the prompts. This resource includes links to short explainers related to signing up and to participating on the site: https://helpdesk.dailykos.com/kb/general-tutorials/quick-start-guid...

If you have any questions about either process, please feel free to open another ticket here at Help Desk.

Thanks for your interest in and support of the mission of Daily Kos.
