Hi- I'm trying to save a community diary for a later date. I keep getting the message "There was an error updating the editor" when I try to save the diary. Is there a fix for this?

COPY that diary fast! I've had this message in the recent past and when hitting SAVE the whole thing vanished.

Thanks for the tip! I copied it and had absolutely no problem saving it another window. I don’t know what happened. I’m just glad copying it worked.

I've messaged Daily Kos technical support and I'm still not getting this matter resolved. They need to hold off on updating DK website to the latest version and just get back to the way things used to be. This is becoming a nuisance and a major headache for me.

Hello, and thanks for the dialogue here.

It's true that there is not always an obvious reason for a save glitch. Most of the time, it's some sort of network issue out of everyone's control (except Comcast or whatever, and we all know how reliable ISPs are in practice). So making sure you have the text safely stored somewhere else is always a good idea.

pipsorcle, since you're here, this is also a good suggestion for you to try. Just start a new diary draft. Sometimes something corrupts a draft and there's not really a way to remedy it. The only recourse is to start over.
