Hello. Sorry for the problems! Are you still having them?

If so, then please try these user fixes first.

    1) Is there any way that you can update your version of Safari/OSX? That might make all the difference you need.

In any case, it could also help if you
    2) Clear your cache and cookies specifically for Daily Kos, then close and reopen your browser. That alone might do the trick.

    If not, then
    3) See if the site will open and remain stable if you use a private window on your browser.
If it does, then most likely you have a conflict arising between an extension or add-on to your browser and your site; the private-window view disables almost all of such extras.
In that case, you will have to go through a process of elimination to figure out which one(s) cause the problem. Often, it's an ad-blocker of some sort.

If these don't suffice, then please return with some more details about the path you are following to reach a story that continues to crash your browser.

Thanks for your help with troubleshooting and for your support of the site.

Private window doesn't work - same crashes. Works with Firefox so it's a Safari issue.

I'm OSX 10.9.5 and for job reasons not updating the OS and Safari is part of the OS.
I am not running an ad blocker.

Not a big deal here just letting tech support know.

    OK, gotcha.
Thanks for the update. We are having some annoying issues with older versions of Safari lately, and this might be one of them. I take it the problem occurs no matter where you are and regardless of the path you use to get there?
