popup malware for DK url only

This morning I've started getting popup malware "Congratulations" etc but only at Daily Kos pages. I use an ipad pro (2017), safari with the most current update IOS 12.1. I've cleared all cookies and history, and have checked my apps, which are all legit. I've restarted my device a couple of times. All to no effect.

Any suggestions what can be done?

Thanks for all your feedback and updates. It is a big problem, obviously, and we'll fix it as soon as we can. Meanwhile, you can clear your cookies (especially for the bad sites that have snuck in) and restart your device. It won't completely eliminate the problem since it's ongoing but it'll give you a little break.
Very sorry for the inconvenience and annoyance. Thank you for your patience.

For what it is worth, the problem may not be related to ads, because I have an ad-free subscription and yet have experienced acute trouble with the site for more than 12 hours now.

(Wanted to post this as a comment in the Rec'd diary about this issue, but can't -- diary went straight to the &^!@ pop-up after about 10 seconds. Even though, yes, I had cleared my cache and restarted.)

It does not affect every page. I can read the "Diaries" list okay, and my mail, and (obviously) the Help desk, for example.

Coincidentally, these __okay pages for me are the same ones that do not happen to include the Civiqs crawl__, making me wonder if that crawl might somehow have been parasitized.

    Thanks for your efforts.

I was able to read the Elections page and that weekly open thread with no problem by going directly to elections.dailykos.com. I can also access my comment and stream pages directly. I was hoping that avoiding the front page would enable me to read diaries but no so luck.

Totally useless on iPad even after clearing history and website data.
Barely usable on Google Pixel where at least McAfee deletes the pop up.
Kos is the site I go to most frequently but right now it might as well not
exist. Could there be some right wing hackers involved?

Still getting this issue. The website names are suffixed with .ml and .ga.
It is rather telling that porn sites are more stable than daily kos.

After I downloaded a free Ad-Blocker from the App Store to my iPad, the pop ups stopped. I just tried accessing dkos on my iPhone and the madware appeared. Here is the url: http://get-a-free-prize.ml/warmart/index.html?brand=Apple&isp=Cox%20Communications%20Inc.&city=Scottsdale#

Attached is a screenshot. I’m going to download an Ad-Blocker app on my iPhone till this is resolved.

Thank you! I was so afraid I had a virus, I have an open discussion on the Norton help forum. I'm relieved it's just a stupid ad. Thanks for your work, elfling.

Nope. I have an ad blocker but get the Civiqs crawl. But have not had the problem with the pop-ups.
