I’m logged onto daily kos main site but when I go to helpdesk it shows I’m logged off. I hit the logon button from the helpdesk I get thrown to the main site main page.
I even logged off and tried to log on from helpdesk to no avail.

Any ideas?

    Hello, and thanks for asking.
This might be a simple matter to resolve for you.
The success of the login route is dependent on following these three steps:
    1. Visit www.dailykos.com, and login
    2. Click on the ? Help link at the top
    3. You will now be logged into helpdesk.

In other words, trying to login at Help Desk won't work, and trying to go directly to helpdesk.dailykos.com won't work, even if you ARE logged in at the site. You must access the Help Desk through the little Help portal for the software there to recognize your login cookies with us at Daily Kos.

It shouldn't matter if you've disabled third-party cookies, either; the login process, as long as you follow the three steps listed above, should work.

Of course, we'll be very interested in hearing if this isn't a resolution to the problem.
Thanks for your help with troubleshooting.

Ok thank you. You should fix the access link at the bottom of the page near the media inquiry button. That is how I get to helpdesk

Thanks for clarifying your access route. We'll make sure that's covered too.
