i'm relatively new to commenting on daily kos (i've never posted) and i want to know if there is any way that i can get an alert or something if someone responds to a comment or reply i make? there are sooooo many posts and comments that it's impossible to check all of them to see if someone has responded. so, i was wondering if there was a function i could enable like facebook and twitter have where you can get an email alert that someone has responded to your comment/reply.

thank you. (btw, love the site!)

Thanks for such an enthusiastic query!
We do have something like that in the works, but it's not quite ready.
For now, when you login to the site, you can check the little "comment bubble" at the top of the page. If there's an orange dot by it, that means you've had a recent reply. That's something at least.
And in any case, you have your own page of information, where your own comments are displayed (whether you have replies or not). Look at the pulldown menu attached to your user name and click on My Comments to see what that looks like.
Happy exploring! Welcome to the site.
