Embedded Tweets choke mobile Safari

It seems that there is a new method of embedding Tweets in dkos comments. The problem is that doing so makes browsing that thread extremely slow in mobile Safari (i.e., on the iPhone). An example of the offending embed may be found in this comment:

Because I assume that you may not be able to fix the problem on your own, I suggest prohibiting this kind of embed until a solution is found.
