Having a problem with a script warning--just started today
I'm always logged into the site. Starting today, whenever I come to DK, I get an Internet Explorer warning that says: "Stop running this script? A script on this page is causing IE (forgot the rest of it!) If it continues to run your computer may become unresponsive." Then I have to click "Yes" to stop running whatever this script is.
Not only do I get this warning every time I come to the site, I also get it when I click on some of the diaries. I haven't changed anything on my computer, so I'm wondering is something has been added to DK that is unfriendly to IE?
This is VERY aggravating, as you might guess. Please help! Thanks!

Anyone have any trouble with this page:

"No problem" is great feedback. If you do have a problem, your browser info would be a big help.
Thanks everyone!

No Problem
Win7 64 bit
IE 9.0.8112.16421
This is the first time I've opened the site with this version of IE and I was presented with a choice to allow or forbid 'java plug in 2 SSV Helper.' I opted forbid.

thirded!
Is this related to embedding twitter images on the FP? I seem to remember something about that before. (Don't do twitter myself, so I don't remember what it was about.)

I can't reproduce on IE 8. Perhaps it's a specific diary?

appears to be this: http://www.dailykos.com/story/2012/02/10/1062904/-Dr-Ron-Paul-s-newsletter-of-medicine?via=blog_1

If it is that diary, it may be something that is IE 8-specific. I just tried it with IE 7, and got no script warning. The last time this was a problem, it seemed to be connected to those live Twitter link graphic embeds.

For me, it's any navigation off the front page, even clicking to go to Help.. It's just like what happened earlier when you guys fixed it (start of this thread). Running IE 8 on XP.

Been getting this message all day - both work computer and home computer. Now, suddenly, all graphic images have disappeared, replaced by empty boxes. I mean ALL of them, including the guy with the flag.

The images were our fault, a reconfiguration that went wrong. Should all be better now.
I don't see any twitter embeds of the kind that caused trouble before, and I'm so far not certain where the issue is with the script warning. My initial suspect isn't on enough pages. But it was bad enough that it crashed my IE, so I appreciate your pain and will keep hunting it.

There is a twitter embed in Matt Bors diary that appears to be causing the problem.

I"ve had this problem, as well. It occurs more with Chrome than IE 8, but I have learned something about the problem.
If I have multiple tabs open, and shockwave (most often) crashes (as it often does) on another tab, it affects all tabs. Simply closing other tabs, or even IE/Chrome does not resolve this problem, as the "crash" has affected hi mem on the computer. The best solution (which I do not like!) is to restart my computer. The problem goes away. Most often, this occurs when one of my tabs has FaceBook or Twitter open. The crash occurs there, then crosses to all open tabs.
Solution: restart (for me). Then, no problem.

The script error message is back. I've been getting it the last two days when I navigate away from the front page. :(
